Barcelona-PSG aggregate score, highlights, results, live blog: Barcelona pull off historic Champions League miracle comeback
Barcelona pulled off one of the biggest miracle comebacks in sports history
Barcelona pulled off the greatest comeback in Champions League history on Wednesday, coming back from a 4-0 first-leg deficit against PSG to advance to the quarterfinals after winning the second leg 6-1.
Barca advanced 6-5 on aggregate in one of the most miraculous spectacles the sport has ever seen.
It looked like the French club was all but through to the quarters when Edinson Cavani scored in the 62nd minute to make it 3-1, meaning Barca needed three goals in the final half hour.
But somehow, they did it.
Neymar scored in the 88th minute on a free kick and in the 91st on a penalty kick before Sergi Roberto grabbed a goal in the 95th to produce one of the most magical nights in Barcelona history.
Obviously, it’s bliss for Barca and heartbreak for PSG. The French club looked like a sure bet to advance, but Barca continued its scoring trend. Over the last three matches, Barca has 17 goals.
PSG will not forget this one ever. Cavani hit the post in the match, Angel Di Maria and Cavani both missed a one-on-one opportunity, and an own goal in the end proved so costly.
With the stunning win, Barcelona advances to the UCL quarters to join Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
